People hear "life coach" and picture someone asking you how you feel about your childhood. That is not what this is. My experience with life coaching, both getting coached and coaching others, comes down to three things: direction, loops, and habits that fit your actual life.
Direction and clarity
Most people do not lack ambition. They lack a filter. Everything seems important, so nothing gets finished. The first job in life coaching is cutting through the noise and finding what actually matters to you, not to your parents, your Instagram feed, or the version of you from five years ago.
I have lived this. I went from a small Irish town to $300M superyachts to running my own businesses. None of it happened in a straight line, but every jump happened the moment I got brutally clear on one thing I wanted next.
The restart loop
Here is the pattern I see most: someone starts something strong, life gets loud, and six weeks later they are back at zero, wondering what is wrong with them. Nothing is wrong with them. The loop is the problem.
A loop is a pattern you repeat without deciding to. It shows up in the same fights, the same abandoned projects, the same Sunday night dread. My job is to spot it with you, name it out loud, and then work out what it costs you every time it runs. Once you see the price, you stop paying it so willingly.
Transitions, not just survival
New job, new country, new baby, a business that finally works. Change is where people get weird, and by weird I mean either frozen or pretending they are fine. Life coaching done well means you navigate the change instead of surviving it. Different energy completely.
Habits that fit your real life
Not the life you think you should have. If you are not a 5am person, I will not make you one. We build routines around who you actually are, and with a brain like mine, that means systems over willpower every single time.
The thing that still gets me after all these sessions: people arrive thinking something is broken, and it is almost never true. It is direction. Get the direction right and half the "problems" quietly solve themselves.
If any of this sounds familiar, this is exactly what we do in a session. You know where the booking form is.
